Looking for a PHP or IOP assessment near Worcester with MassHealth? Pax Healing serves adults 18 and older at 1115 Stafford Street in Rochdale, MA. We accept all forms of MassHealth.
Ask admissions about assessment availability or call (508) 470-0000. Calls are accepted 24 hours. Same-day assessment availability must be confirmed with the team; submitting a form does not reserve an appointment or confirm admission.
Can I get a same-day assessment?
An assessment is a conversation with a clinician about your needs and the appropriate level of care. If you are hoping to be seen today, contact Pax Healing before traveling and ask about the earliest available appointment.
Assessment scheduling and a program start date are separate steps. Admission depends on clinical needs, program availability and any required insurance authorization.
You can contact us before choosing a program
Reaching out when you are ready gives admissions a chance to explain the process and discuss scheduling concerns. You do not need to know whether PHP or IOP is right for you before making contact.
Tell the team if daytime or evening programming would work better, or if transportation may be a barrier. Ask what arrangements need to be confirmed before coming to Rochdale.
Preparing for the Intake Process
Start with a call or a brief website inquiry. Admissions can explain the next steps for insurance verification, assessment and intake paperwork.
You do not need to include a detailed medical history in your initial contact form. The team can explain how to share clinical information and records as part of the intake process.
Documents to Bring to Your Assessment
Ask admissions which documents are needed for your appointment. Helpful information to have available includes:
- Your insurance card or plan name and member information.
- A photo ID, if available.
- A list of current medications and existing treatment providers.
- Relevant recent discharge paperwork, if you have it.
- Questions about treatment, scheduling or transportation.
If something is missing, contact admissions anyway. The team can explain what is required and what to do next.
How to Verify Your MassHealth Benefits
Use our insurance verification form to request a benefits check. Pax Healing accepts all forms of MassHealth; provide the exact plan name on your card so admissions can review the recommended services and any referral or authorization requirements.
For help completing the form, call (508) 470-0000. Verification does not guarantee authorization or payment. Read our MassHealth IOP guide for more about getting started.
What to Expect During the Assessment
Be prepared to discuss your current concerns, treatment goals, previous care and any substance use. The clinician uses this information to recommend an appropriate level of care.
Ask admissions how much time to allow and what to expect at your appointment. You can ask questions about the recommendation, your schedule and the next steps before deciding on treatment.
After the Assessment
If PHP or IOP at Pax Healing is recommended, admissions can discuss available scheduling options and the steps needed before you begin. Our programs include group treatment and individual therapy, with psychiatric support when clinically appropriate.
Standalone individual therapy is no longer offered. After graduating from our IOP, clients can transition to OP for continued care. If your needs call for a different level of care, discuss that recommendation with the clinician.
