Pax Healing offers a variety of family services designed to support the loved ones of our clients throughout the treatment and aftercare process. Recognizing the crucial role families play in recovery, Pax Healing is committed to meeting the needs and addressing the concerns of family members as they work collaboratively to support their loved ones.
The goal of the Family Program at Pax Healing is to educate family members about substance use disorders and their treatment, provide guidance on how to offer effective support, and cultivate an understanding of healthy coping mechanisms when dealing with addiction within the family. The program also aims to connect families with relevant community resources.
Currently, Pax Healing provides the following family services:
Educational Family Program: This program includes group sessions offered on Saturdays from 10 am to 12 pm. These groups provide education about the disease of addiction, explore the principles of the 12 Steps, address topics relevant to family members, and provide meaningful support, cultivating a sense of community and mutual understanding among those facing the challenges of a loved one’s substance use.
Family Involvement: At the client’s request, families are involved in the treatment process as clients have the opportunity to arrange family therapy sessions with their individual therapist during their H-IOP/IOP treatment.
For Saturday family support services, Pax Healing has established the following basic policies and procedures:
All valuables, including purses, cell phones, and wallets, should be left in locked vehicles.
Upon arrival, family members are required to check in at the front desk.
All visitors must sign in and complete a confidentiality form.
For the safety and comfort of all, pets are not permitted during these services and may not be left in vehicles during visitation hours.
